Finding it hard to stand up to his father’s incessant abuse, Lunga absconds from home, leaving his mother with the overly traditional and abusive father. While on the run, Lunga got hooked into a life of gangsterism and drugs. Through his new lifestyle, he learned to overcome adversity despite not having a good education. His departure from home subsequently left a dark cloud hanging around his home. A lot of unpleasant occurrences threatened his parents’ marriage. Later when he eventually came back home, tragedy struck, leading to his father’s arrest and incarceration. The once happy family slowly falls apart, but will unity prevail at the end?
Nceba Tyobeka is an ABET teacher at Bekkersdal Adult Education Centre. He was born in Queenstown in the Eastern Cape, and relocated with his parents at a very young age to Bekkersdal Township where he was raised. He started his schooling at Isiqalo Primary School and successfully completed his matric in 1999 at Kgothalang Senior Secondary School where he started developing the love for writing.
He has written a number of impressive books both in IsiXhosa and English. Some of his literary works have been recommended for publishing by Shuter and Shooter Publishers.
